Language Angels has provided us with a robust sequence of learning, which ensures our language offer is the best it can be. It ensures consistent delivery of a language across all classes and can be delivered by non- specialists, still ensuring the quality of education for all is high. What stands out is the planning for listening, reading and writing, which we had not seen planned as effectively as Language Angels provides and also supports all learners to achieve. Thank you Language Angels.

Our school's teaching of MFL French has gone from strength to strength since we started using Language Angels three years ago. We have adapted it to suit our school as a separate Junior School but Its interactive resources are excellent to support teachers who may not be as confident in teaching a MFL and help all children to progress with their learning. Many of the units link brilliantly to other areas of the curriculum and can be used as retrieval practice for subjects such as science, History and geography. The children really gain from each of the units and love hearing, speaking and now even writing French! We can highly recommend subscribing to Language Angels and look forward to continuing to subscribe in future years.

We have been using Language Angels since September 2023. I have never enjoyed teaching French as much! It is easy to use, gives confidence as a non-French speaking teacher and is built in a way where you are teaching small steps, whilst still adhering to the strands, speaking, listening, reading and writing consistently.

Before our school began Language Angels, French was only sporadically taught, due to lack of resources, subject knowledge and confidence in speaking. Since subscribing to Language Angels, French is now taught once a week across years 2 to 6. The children love the songs and presentations, and the teachers appreciate the ease of delivery. It has totally revolutionised the way our school teaches language.

Language Angels is a fantastic resource to support teaching a language to your children.  The website is very easy to use, with every lesson accompanied by a colourful slides, sound bites to teach correct pronunciation and progressive challenges.  They are also supported by interactive and fun learning resources including word searches, songs, bingo games to name a few.  For teachers, there is clear progression guidance and support including adaptive resources, phonics charts, classroom displays and clear plans.  Language Angels will even map out your suggested curriculum, working in alignment with your children’s previous language knowledge. Overall I would highly recommend using the Language Angels programme as we have seen great improvement in children’s confidence and understanding and enjoyment of French.

We have been using Language Angels for just over a year. The materials provided are outstanding and really make teaching French as simple as possible for teaching staff who are not overly confident in languages. Although it makes teaching MfL straightforward, this does not, by any stretch, mean it lacks challenge and rigour. The lessons, and lesson sequences, are well structured to drive progress in languages and fulfil, and go way beyond, the requirements of the National Curriculum. The lessons are engaging and the songs and games support teaching and learning, making it interesting for learners. As MfL lead with little experience of leading this, I found the supporting resources (Progression maps, policies, rationales etc) extremely useful. Equally, we have accessed the CPD videos available for staff CPD, and found that the phonics clips and ‘embedding French in everyday practice’ clips invaluable for staff development.

Paolo and the Language Angels team have been unwaveringly professional and supportive in upskilling us to confidently deliver the high-quality Language Angels Spanish curriculum at Manorfield Primary School. We have been impressed by the spiral-curriculum approach to secure children’s understanding of the 12 areas in the MFL Programs of Study, outlined by the DfE, and we have enormously benefitted from the personalised approach to planning our units to ensure progress and consistency, which the Language Angels team have offered us.  The teachers appreciate the ease of the program, which is ‘ready to go’ whilst having a wide selection of extra resources to personalise individual class planning to (for example, if a teacher sees from the end-of-unit data that a class is weakest in Reading, there are plenty of opportunities to tweak the next unit to give the class more Reading practice). We have benefited enormously from both personalised training support for our school, and very informative free training sessions, which are regularly offered by Language Angels.   Every time we’ve had a concern or a challenge, Paolo and the Language Angels team have been promptly supportive in every way, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Language Angels has definitely enhanced the way we teach Spanish at our school. The learning is progressive, built upon year-on-year and the resources are nothing short of excellent. Children at Stoneferry enjoy their weekly Spanish lessons and understand the importance of speaking a modern foreign language.

Language Angels has given us the scope to introduce Spanish across the school with confidence, despite having few linguists on the staff. The quality of the audio-visual resources is such that teachers - even those with no language experience - feel confident in delivering the lessons, and pupils hear good quality accents. Having each lesson planned out and resourced also means that we know from the off that our children get a good offer throughout their time with us.

Language Angels has enabled a non-specialist to succeed at teaching Spanish across the whole of Key Stage 2. The children are engaged and motivated and particularly enjoy the songs.  The supporting documents provided in Curriculum Guidance were invaluable in the preparation for Ofsted and have ensured all necessary documentation, tailored to our school, is relevant, user friendly and current.  The free termly CPD is tremendous and has made me feel part of a wider community and provided much needed reassurance. Thank you too for always being just an email away! I can't recommend Language Angels enough.  It provides everything you need to make teaching MFL a success and more.
